Visited the Saatchi Gallery during the holidays and I’ve got to say it is one of my favourite gallery to visit because there’s ALWAYS cool art presented there. ALWAYS. The exhibition I viewed was very different from the typical fine art exhibitions where you see paintings and mainly 2D work. This exhibition was very special because there was a variety of work on show created by young contemporary artists from the Ukraine and UK. There was these big, bold blocks of sculpture filled with random objects. I really enjoyed this piece because it was so contained and neat yet it was so busy inside like a mind. Another favourite of mine was the light shades made from second hand clothing floating in the air. I think that this piece was one of the best in the exhibition because it really made me engage and I was curious about why the artist decided to use clothes as light shades. Love it!
